Ethan and I picked up a new camp stove for our trip a few days ago. It is a Coleman Fold N Go stove.
A set of good Kelty backpacks, our trusty thermarests, sleeping bags, and single person tents, and food will make up the rest of the trunk space. Of course each of us will have the standard backpack stuff, along with clothes and such in our packs.
With temperatures being what they will be, I think it will be rare we use the sleeping bags for more than something to sleep on versus in.
I'm thinking of banning hand held game systems from the trip, such as the boy's Nintendo DS rigs. I'd like them to tune into the trip and not their toys. We'll see how that goes *smile*.
The current plan is to pack a week's worth of food only. And during the trip we resupply as we go.
Any suggestions on food to take? Favorite dutch oven recipies?
